Back in February, I ordered a Body-chan on eBay. The estimated shipping had it's latest arrival time at May 3rd. Ok, fine, the seller's overseas, so whatever. Stuff never takes that long. Right?
Wrong.
May 3 came and went and it didn't show up. I waited. Finally, yesterday I sent the seller a message to let them know that the item hadn't shown up. The tracker they had listed for the item hadn't updated since Feb either, so I was kind of at a loss here as to what to do. Two hours after messaging them, it shows up in the mail.

Last night, I get a full refund for the item.

No response to my message, just a full refund.
So here I am with both my item AND the money. And I have no idea what to do about this.

Website Revamp
I've spent a lot of time lately rebuilding my website lately and I'm finally ready to properly talk about it. I have a bunch of posts lately that have links to either Keverynn.net or to my blog. Both of those are links to specific pages on my website. I'm putting in effort to use it more. With this OCeptember challenge it was a good opportunity to do so. There are proper write ups for the images on my website, although you might notice that some of the pages are locked. Why is that? I'm trying to protect some of my worldbuilding ideas and thoughts, things I haven't fully released to the public and things I'm not quite ready to release just yet. Inclusionism in writing
A few things have come up recently that have made me feel like this is necessary. I used to look up to authors like JK Rowling. That’s what I wanted to do. To tell a story that other people love. Her recent actions haven’t lessened my appreciation of her work but I’ve lost any sort of value in anything she has to say and that saddens me. It saddens me to know that the creator of one of the most important stories of the last twenty years is so closed minded. All the messages on Facebook I was reading about this situation got me thinking. Does she even know how much power she has? She could do so much good with her position and yet this is how she chooses to use her words. People like her are more or less why Stars of Destiny was created the way it is. It is first and foremost a universe where magic exists, where magical girls (and boys) take on the fight against all the bad things out there.
