This initially started as a chat between myself and Ayashi. She wanted to use one of my characters in her new fanfic: [link] I'm always cool with that. I think initially she was going to use KnightKouryuu, but Sailorma'at was who it ended up being. Then she asked me if Ma'at was bi. Having never really thought much about that (as Ma'at doesn't have a whole lot of back story to her), I decided that it couldn't hurt to make her bi. So there we go. Ayashi decided to then pair Ma'at up with Sailorkiiro. they have similar personalities so they'd either get along famously or kill each other. Or both. Who knows? I don't really know what plans Ayashi has for the pairing, but we'll find out when it gets written, ne?

Ayashi drew two images. This one an another one. She asked me which I liked best and I honestly couldn't decide. Eventually, Ayashi decided to finish the second image she drew. You'll find that posted in her gallery. Go look because it's pretty. I decided that it would be a shame to waste the first image and finished it. Most of the lines you see in the above image are Ayashi's. I had to add in the short sleeves and diamonds on Ma'at's fuku and I opened Kiiro's eyes (they were closed in the original sketch), but that's it for my alterations.

I left some of the sketchiness of the image intact because it looked cooler that way. I'm very pleased with how the shading turned out in this, though Kiiro's eyes are a little wacky. I've never done eyes in this new style of coloring at that angle before.

It's interesting that Ma'at's gold and Kiiro's yellow are very close in color, just a shade and a bit off from each other. They look very god together.
